Reporting to the CHRO (Chief Human Resource Officer), the Director of Human Resources is critical to Continuum’s success in the LATAM region, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina. You will lead the People support function and help drive achievement of our mission “to empower and support our employees to reach unimaginable heights while growing our business to make a global impact.”

 

Operational responsibilities include development of HR strategies, overseeing daily HR operations and ensuring overall company and legal compliance. Financial budgetary management and support of workforce planning, headcount management, and corporate M&A activities. The ideal candidate has strong financial acumen, a start-up mentality, and is customer service-focused and detail-oriented. This person will be encouraged to innovate and build upon current processes, working closely with the broader HR and Operations leadership teams. Success in this position will require the development of an extensive internal network across the corporate functions (Finance, Legal, Recruiting), as well as HR and external vendors. 

 

This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience working with local Labor Ministries, Unions, and other governing labor bodies. A demonstrated track record navigating complex employment scenarios involving these agencies will be essential.

Job Summary:

The Human Resource Director will provide the strategic framework to assist leaders in understanding company policies and labor laws. Will also plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department. Ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.  

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.

 

 

  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.

 

  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Develops and implements departmental budget. 
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least five years of human resource management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
