R2R Accounting Manager (M02)


As Accounting Manager, you will lead Shared Finance Team in India, serving to 15 subsidiaries (EMEA, APAC and US regions) of Continuum Global Solutions; the overall accountability of the process lies with him/her and is a liaison between the senior management and the team. He will be actively involved in the timely completion of the recruitments, overall planning of the work allocation, transitioning from one session to another and co-coordinating within finance department to implement process improvements. He/She would ensure that the process is running smoothly, and all the process deliverables are delivered as per the SLA thus exceeding the expectations of the internal clients. Preparing proper actionable, deliverables in case of all processes and resources. Implementation of effective and efficient processes, system & manual to ensure cross functional and cross resources training to make the activity process dependent rather than being person dependent. The Manager will support the CGS Balance Sheet Reconciliation Project and other initiatives in internal controls and process improvements, in collaboration with the Global/Regional Finance teams and with process/control owners across the organization.


  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, MBA (Finance) from renowned business school
  • Min 7 years of experience of General Accounting (Record-to-Report)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication
  • Validation of System posting, quality assurance and review & improvement of general accounting and reconciliation process.
  • Candidate preferred from large/international Organization. Exposure to managing full close processes for a multi-national group.
  • Ready to work in evening shift to overlap with US hours.
  • Have experience of team handling.
  • Responsible for project month close activities, ensuring that activities and project reports are completed as per the calendar timelines while maintaining quality and ensuring that team metrics/KPIs are met.
  • Co-ordinate all accounting activities associated with the General Ledger particularly accruals, prepaid, intercompany, fixed assets, foreign exchange, cash & bank.
  • Should be able to prepare and review MIS Reporting, comparative financial statement, schedules, notes, and related reconciliation for statutory reporting.
  • Strong accounting knowledge along with month-end closing and reporting process.
  • Perform and review complex Balance Sheet account reconciliations, review, and follow up to get reconciling items cleared and addressing related queries accuracy and within TAT.
  • Trial Balance and Financial Statement review with variation analysis and commentary.
  • Able to deal with external auditors and various business heads/stakeholders.
  • Should be able to prepare Entity OR Client Line of Business (CLOB) monthly performance statement monthly P&L, Comparative Analysis.
  • Timely identification, validation, and communication of control deficiencies, as well as development of remediation plans in collaboration with the process/control owners,
  • Understand and lead the implementation, maintenance, and communication procedures to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
  • Review fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions and maintain supporting documentation. Tracks the compilation of capital project costs into fixed asset accounts and closes out those accounts once the related projects have been completed. Reviews and updates the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
  • Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Assists in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the shared services.
  • Good understanding of Transfer Pricing audit (Inter-company pricing arrangements relating to transactions between related entities)
  • Basic understanding of US-GAAP and IGAAP.
  • Identify, assess, and assist in selection of resources, and ensure role alignment of individuals. Lead, mentor, and coach junior team members, enabling them to meet their performance goals and act as a role model. Responsible for the performance and appraisal of direct reports, including training and developing necessary skill sets to enable them to grow in their careers

       •  Identify changes to long term resource needs and implement appropriate actions.

       •  Manage personnel, facilitate performance assessments and conduct feedback sessions.

       •  Excellent business application skills (e.g. Oracle NetSuite, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, MS-Office)

Working Hours: 11:30 till 21:00 and extended shift during month end close or for meetings with onshore counterparts
