Safety and Security Manager

Continuum is looking for a Safety and Security Manager, who will use their experience and leadership to ensure the safety and protection of Continuum's physical assets, properties, and resources across our offices in the Dominican Republic. Security
•    
Recruit, orient, and train security personnel on appropriate security rules and procedures
•    Develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures necessary for safeguarding lives and property.
•    Prepare and control the budget for security operations to ensure delivery of high-quality security services.
•    Oversee the coordination of staff during emergency situations.
•    Assign guard duties to security personnel to ensure effective distribution of workload.
•    Keep track of incidents to evaluate them and recommend a course of action
•    Oversee the installation of safety alarms within and around building premises.
•    Schedule shift patrol to ensure a building/property is constantly guarded
•    Develop and manage the processes for securing classified and sensitive information
•    Set up key controls on company equipment and facility to limit access to restricted property
•    Order the supply of security tools and equipment required in carrying out security operations
•    Prepare and present reports of incidents and ways to limit reoccurrence
•    Liaise with public law enforcement agencies and fire department
•    Oversee the planning and coordination of security operations during high-risk events.
•    Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges 
•    Provides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems using data and analysis. 


Safety and Health 
•  
 Implement safety and health policies and procedures to protect employees against workplace hazard
•    Organize safety training to educate company staff on necessary safety principles
•    Develop and implement safety, procedures, and policies for production operations
•    Oversee company waste disposal methods to ensure they comply with safe disposal procedures
•    Attend occupational safety and health seminars to update job knowledge and enhance their skills.
•    Prepare and present to company management periodic report of safety operations
•    Conduct labor accidents and incidents investigations, with corrective action recommendations.
•    Lead the health and safety committee, ensuring compliance to local regulations (522-06)
•    Supports multiple sites in Santo Domingo.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•    
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement or equivalent experience.
•    Minimum 2 years experience as a Security Manager preferably within a BPO environment
•    Knowledge of developing safe operational strategies and solution to minimize work place incidence
•    Skilled in coordinating general workplace operations to ensure compliance safety standards 
•    Ability to provide company staff with useful safety information by means of clear language. 
•    Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff 
•    Excellent Time management and organizational skills
•    Exceptional listening and analytical skills Ability to coach, train, motivate employees and evaluate their performance.
•    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•    Flexible work hours to accommodate meetings with international partners
•    Ability and flexibility to travel to multiple sites within Santo Domingo
